Advice and guidance
towards actionable insight |
International organisations can face an array of high-stakes uncertainties arising from socio-political complexity and stakeholder attitudes. Risk intelligence and planning exercises are often a necessary strand of strategic and operational planning, and essential to maintaining situational awareness and informed adaptation in more volatile environments. When issues do arise, an investigation of the causes is warranted to help get an operation back on track.
With long experience in case management, Harmattan can assist organisations with the design and execution of risk intelligence projects. We do not act as an outsourced intelligence resource. Rather, we work with the client’s own teams, providing guidance, support and cross-checks to help steer an exercise towards actionable results. One instance in which we would act more or less independently is conducting a review of an ongoing country operation. This exercise heavily relies on human source discussions within the client organisation and in its wider ecosystem, and our relative independence would be a factor in the quality of insight obtained. Even in this instance, however, we would still work closely with a client counterpart. For more information on operational reviews, see the link to the left. |
